Light Chocolate Brownies

 Mixing Bowl
 Wooden Spoon
 Baking Tray
  (approx 20x30cm/8"x12")


 85g/3oz Plain Chocolate 
 175g/6oz Soft Brown Sugar
 2 Eggs
 50g/2oz Broken Nuts
 100g/4oz Butter or Spread
 4 Tbsp Double Cream
 ½ tsp Vanilla Extract


Pre-heat the oven to 180°c / 350°f / Gas Mark 4.
Grease the baking tray.
Melt the butter and chocolate gently over a saucepan of hot water.
Remove from heat and add all the remaining ingredients apart from the eggs and cream.
Mix well then fold in the beaten eggs and cream.
Pour mixture into prepared tray.
Bake in the centre of the oven for 25-30 minutes.
Remove from oven and cut into squares.
Remove from baking tray when cooled.
